2 killed, 5 wounded in Farah collision

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed and five others injured as a result of traffic accident in Farahrud district of western Farah province, an official said on Thursday.

Mullah Mohammad Sadiq Jahadmal, the administrative chief of Farahrud district, said the accident occurred late Wednesday night when a Fielder-type vehicle collided with a 404-model passenger bus on the Herat-Kandahar highway.

He confirmed that two individuals died at the scene, while five others sustained injuries in the collision.

Jahadmal attributed the incident to reckless driving and excessive speed.
